Redge Technologies has acquired a majority stake in mediaTool sp. z o.o., in line with its focus on FAST content development.

On 27 June 2023, Redge Technologies completed the acquisition of a majority stake in mediaTool company. This strategic move is in line with Redge Technologies' development focus on FAST (free-ad supported-streaming TV) content, as it integrates the proprietary Redge Media platform with an advanced service for managing the scheduling and playout of linear content.

mediaTool is the developer of <a href=""https://mediatool.tv/"" target=""_blank"" rel=""noopener"">mediaTool.tv, a SaaS solution that provides comprehensive management of the TV channel broadcasting process. Its primary function is to automate all aspects of content management and scheduling for both traditional linear content and FAST channels. mediaTool.tv operates on a cloud-based platform, that eliminates the need for complex integration processes.

Redge Technologies is a leading provider of OTT and edge computing technologies in CEE. The company's flagship solution, Redge Media, is a white-label platform for building Internet TV, dedicated to broadcasters and content distributors. Available in PaaS and on-prem models, the platform consists of an SDP layer for service and content management and a VDP layer for content processing and distribution.

“FAST is capturing the attention of the video industry with its ability to monetize long-tail content and offer new content bundles. The acquisition of mediaTool expands our product and services portfolio with tools specifically designed to manage the video content creation process. In addition, this investment marks our first venture into a truly scalable SaaS service provider” - states Przemysław Frasunek, CEO of Redge Technologies.

“The rapidly evolving TV channel market brings new demands and challenges. The synergy between mediaTool and Redge is a direct response to these demands. I am proud that we can combine our knowledge, experience and systems to provide broadcasters with ready-to-use and proven solutions” - comments Władysław Prażmowski, CEO and founder of mediaTool.
