Senior C/C++ Software Engineer- R&D

The research and development department created and develops the heart of our solutions, which are the systems: storage, processing and distribution of content.
Working in our team gives you unique opportunities to co-create and develop large, distributed computer systems, co-creating our proprietary cloud – Redge Media CDN. In our work, we place particular emphasis on efficiency, scalability and reliability of the solutions we create. Requirements
— master’s or engineer degree in the following fields: computer science, physics, mathematics (or adequate professional experience)
— minimum 5 years of experience as a programmer
— very good knowledge of C and C ++ languages
— object-oriented programming, decomposition and algorithmic skills
— knowledge of basic network protocols (TCP / IP, HTTP)
— experience in the design and implementation of distributed systems
— experience in multi-speed programming
Examples of tasks
— design and implementation of proprietary systems for storage, processing and distribution of systems
— analyze and review the source code of other team members
— participation in conceptual work
Nice to have
— knowledge of issues related to the architecture of file systems
— experience in the design and implementation of network communication protocols
— knowledge of issues related to the processing of multimedia streams
— knowledge of audio / video codecs (AAC, MPEG Audio, AC-3, H.264, H.265, VP9)
— knowledge of multimedia containers (MPEG TS, ISO MPEG 4, WebM)
— experience in using hardware encoders and hardware parallel computing support (CUDA, NVENC)
— knowledge of multimedia content distribution protocols (MPEG DASH, Apple HLS RTMP, RTSP / RTP / RTCP)
— knowledge of the Python language
— basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
