Redge Media is used by the largest and most popular Internet TV stations in Poland, such as player.pl or playnow.pl. Thanks to our technology, millions of users of these portals can enjoy access to their favorite video content every day. The mobile applications we have created have remained in the top places of popularity for many months, both in the Google Play store and the Apple Appstore.
We want you to be an architect / senior engineer in areas touching below keystones of our system (which is mostly our company own code intertwined with COTS SW components, all pure Linux based)
– Terabit-scale CDN –constantly growing , currently expanding also abroad (50Gbps+ traffic served from a single 1U COTS x86 server)
– Advanced BGP and load based CDN traffic steering
– International multidatacenter environment with BGP IP (v4+v6) core and multi terabit network capacity
– Best in class Anti DDoS scrubbing solution based on DPDK library (Mpps / 100-200 Gbps scrubbing capacity on 1U COTS x86 server)
– Cloud video/sound encoding/decoding platform based on GPUs and CPUs alike with automated orchestration and provisioning (up to 4K video quality with multiaudio, DRM, DAI, etc.)
– Multi PB geo redundant distributed object storage
Requirements
— Good knowledge of IPv4 / TCP / UDP (flow control, MSS, MTU, congestion control), debugging (tcpdump, wireshark, protocol analysis);
— Good knowledge of Linux kernel customisation, system tuning / tweaking;
— Experience with performance profiling;
— Experience with kernelinstrumentation;
— Knowledge of process debugging/tracing/gdb;
— Good knowledge of Apache/NGinx advanced tuning &configuration;
— Very good knowledge of scripting (bash / python).

— BGP protocol
— DPDK library experience
— SQL (complex queries, reports)
— programming experience
— high level video concepts (containers (mp4, mkv), codecs (h.264/h.265), video encoding/decoding, DRM)
— multicasts;
— concepts of cryptography (SSL, certificates)
