Redge Media DRM has been implemented for online video services of Wirtualna Polska. It provides a Multi-DRM solution based on Google Widevine, Microsoft PlayReady and Apple FairPlay for WP Pilot, which is one of the largest OTT platforms in Poland, with over 2 million users per month. WP also uses Redge Media CDN to handle the traffic peaks.
WP Pilot is the most popular online platform in Poland, which allows users to watch over 100 TV channels. WP Pilot offer includes general theme channels, news, film, sports and those dedicated to the youngest. The service is available through the website, applications for Android, iOS and Windows platforms, as well as using Chromecast and Airplay. WP Pilot also has applications dedicated to TV sets and the Android TV platform.
Redge Media DRM serves over 7 million end users Europe-wide, such as: WP Pilot, Discovery’s player.pl, RASP’s vod.pl, Iliad’s Play Now, Bite’s Go3 and the major pay TV provider in Scandinavia. DRM is provided as Cloud service or as on-premise deployment. Redge Media DRM is a module of the complete Redge Media Video Delivery ecosystem comprising Encoders, Origin, CDN, DRM and Player.
